For Blaire & Jaron, a Californian couple with a deep appreciation for history, quintessentially English culture, classic literature and art, their wedding at Casterton Grange in Cumbria offered the perfect canvas for an elegant celebration inspired by the romance of the English countryside.
I wanted their predominantly American guests to experience the beauty and character of the setting in a way that felt authentic, immersive and utterly enchanting. The design was rooted in the spirit of a romantic, rambling English country garden - abundant florals, timeless details and an effortless sense of English charm, drawing on the visual language of classic literature and the enduring beauty of the British landscape.
Every element was thoughtfully considered to sit in harmony with the historic surroundings, creating a celebration that felt both beautifully refined and deeply personal.

The ceremony was framed by a lush floral semi-circle, enveloping Blaire and Jaron in an intimate, almost storybook setting, before the celebration moved into the wedding breakfast beneath a canopy of foliage illuminated by hundreds of softly glowing fairy lights. Floral-print linens and patterned chargers were layered with delicate green glassware, silver accents and flickering candlelight, creating a tablescape that felt romantic and ethereal — reminiscent of the enchanted interiors of a favourite fairytale. As evening fell, the whole setting took on an almost dreamlike quality. For me, the beauty of this wedding lay not simply in the details, but in creating an experience that captured something quintessentially English: the romance of the landscape, the poetry of the past and the quiet luxury of celebrating beautifully in a truly extraordinary place.
