HIGH SUMMER WEDDING
AT MIDDLETON LODGE
XANTHEA & TOM
For Xanthea and Tom, returning to Yorkshire from their home in Dubai to marry at Middleton Lodge was about bringing together the people and places that mean the most to them. Their wedding saw family and friends celebrating in the UK for a day that felt both deeply personal and truly special. Middleton Lodge provided the perfect setting: where historic character and understated English elegance meet a more contemporary sense of luxury.
The design drew on old money elegance, reimagined for a modern celebration. Vintage silver, delicate lace accents and considered typography across the stationery suite introduced a sense of heritage and timelessness, while a fresh, contemporary palette brought a softer, more playful edge. Inspired by the combination of strawberry and matcha, blush pink, ivory and pale green were woven throughout the styling and florals, creating a palette that felt romantic and refined without becoming overly traditional. Each element was chosen to sit harmoniously alongside the character of Middleton Lodge, balancing the beauty of its historic surroundings with a more modern, fashion-conscious approach to wedding design.
As the day unfolded, the atmosphere was shaped as much by live music as by the setting itself. The Northern string quartet accompanied the ceremony and continued through the drinks reception. Guests were then welcomed into the marquee for dinner by Frankly Jazz, setting the tone for an evening that felt effortlessly elegant, warm and full of energy. The design carried through into the dining space, where blush drapings from MaeDae Events and fruit installations sat amongst the table florals to create a cohesive backdrop for the celebrations.
Xanthea and her Bridesmaids returned in stunning second looks and made a spectacular entrance into a truly epic cake moment, before DJ Mark Green and and Jasper on Sax took the party into full swing. As the night continued, guests moved down to the cellar for the after-party until the small hours, offering a change of atmosphere and a more intimate final chapter to their Wedding Day.
The real beauty in the design of Xanthea and Tom’s wedding was in that balance: heritage and modernity, elegance and energy, thoughtful design and genuine connection. It felt unmistakably rooted in Yorkshire, while reflecting the international life they have built together in Dubai. Above all, it was a celebration designed not simply to look beautiful, but to bring their favourite people together and give them a day - and a night - to remember.
